Artist Sonny Jake's practice include's oil painting, pencil sketching, and fashion design. Through his work, he explores themes of growth, nature, interconnection, faith, love, wisdom, and the resilience of the human spirit. Having grown up experiencing both tragedies and miracles, Sonny developed a belief in the interconnectedness of all things—an idea that reinforces his conviction that everything happens for a reason and that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.

"I set out to create my own world within my art. I wanted to establish a way of drawing and painting key emotions, symbols, shapes and patterns that emerge throughout life —things that everyone is familiar with—and then get lost in that world. I clear my mind when approaching a painting, sketch or garment, allowing my unconscious to speak through my conscious. When I paint, draw and create I express without expectations or presumptions, allowing my inner world to speak for itself."

As a reflective thinker, Sonny has delved into various philosophies and spiritual teachings from figures such as Alan Watts, Rudolf Steiner, Carl Jung, Lao-Tzu, and Kahlil Gibran. These influences have deepened his feelings of acceptance, connection, and divine intervention. His art serves as a visual expression of these teachings, aiming to inspire hope and trust in the natural course of life. Passionate about sharing these lessons, Sonny engages audiences through art, fashion, videos and events.
